Gogosha Optique is a high end, service and design driven eyewear and sunglass boutique, founded and owned by eye wear guru Julia Gogosha.
Anyone who has worn glasses for any amount of time – especially since youth – has had a traumatic experience at some point, the result of a complete lack of choice in frame quality, selection and style. That has now changed completely. Wearers have the choice of incredible frames that reflect personal and aesthetic tastes. I believe that frames don’t have a soul on their own; at the end of the day they are just sculpted pieces of metal or plastic. But the designers and collections that I chose for Gogosha Optique will inspire people with their vision and craftsmanship. These hunks of metal and plastic are sculpted with such passion and finesse that they come alive when the frame finds its owner. No one can deny the quality, beauty and inspiration of these collections.
It’s a long time coming that several of these European eyewear labels find a home in Los Angeles. As a former New Yorker, I can tell you that all you hear about is how Los Angeles is the polar opposite of New York. New Yorkers seem to think that they alone have the stranglehold on intellectual curiosity, style and chic. I don’t buy it. I’ve found a home here and the people and their interests in Los Angeles and Southern California are as diverse as they are in New York (or anywhere else for that matter.)
I believe the bespectacled people of Los Angeles deserve to be inspired by their eyewear. Eyewear should not be about just a brand name stamped at the temple of a frame, but about a personal statement, a physical enhancement, and a representation of the wearer.
I created Gogosha Optique to aid this eyewear evolution, so you need… ‘LOOK NO FURTHER’!
